Dynatec Tertiary Filter Removes Phosphorus
15 April, 2009
The Legends Golf and Country Club in McAfee NJ had a requirement to remove phosphorus from their effluent discharge. They were mandated by the State of NJ to remove phosphorus to maximum concentrations of 0.3 mg/l with an average of 0.1 mg/L.

The facility is in the process of designing a new Membrane bio-reactor system, but until that is in place, they were still required to remove excess phosphorus levels.

Dynatec produced a unique solution. A membrane filter system was designed using the same membranes that will be required for the full-scale system. This means that when the full-scale system is installed, the membranes used in the tertiary filtration application can then be reused.

Since the system was installed and commissioned, the facility has not recorded a discharge higher than the average allowed by permit
