Apr 22, 2006 - Dynatec Systems, Inc. is pleased to announce completion of a MBR (Membrane Bioreactor) wastewater treatment facility (WTF) for Saddle Ridge, a housing development in Rockford, Michigan. The Dynatec-designed system will treat up to 32,500 gallons per day of sanitary wastewater to the following Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) standards:
BOD5
| TSS
| NH3 – N
| Total P
| Fecal Coliform
| <4 mg/l
| <20 mg/l
| <0.5 m/l
| <0.5 mg/l
| <200 mg/l
|
After nearly six months of operation, the system is operating within all design parameters. Average readings taken over a four month period are:
BOD5
| TSS
| NH3 – N
| Total P
| Fecal Coliform
| <3.1 mg/l
| <2.6 mg/l
| <0.13 mg/l
| <0.22 mg/l
| 3 mg/l

The water treatment system employs the DynaLift™ MBR process, where “out-of-basin membranes” are used to perform biomass separation. This unique configuration (see photo) allows for exceptionally easy maintenance, safer operator working conditions, as well as very low-power pumping requirements, less operating expense, and excellent system reliability. According to the system operator, “The DynaLift™ system is the easiest to maintain that I have ever experienced. Most days, I simply record the system data. When cleaning the system is finally required, this is a simple and predictable operation. I don’t have to move anything around, I simply initiate the automatic cleaning cycle, and the system does the rest.” Dynatec designed and installed The DynaLift™ MBR system in a building specifically constructed by the developer to blend in with the surrounding homes. The photo below shows how successful Dynatec and the developer were in achieving this goal.
